You don't even have to look as far as banned topics to see that over the years stupidpol has gradually become more accepting of the various actual political demands of idpol even as it remains nominally opposed to idpol tactics.

The best example of this is probably feminism. While you certainly can still criticise feminism, if you actually say that the feminists have caused real material damage, or that feminist demands are entirely unreasonable, or indeed say anything beyond a meek criticism of them "taking things too far" in some rhetorical sense you'll tend to get a lot more pushback. Most of this sub has largely adopted the position of being hostile to feminists in a largely aesthetic sense while functionally supporting all the goals of feminism, or at least refusing to oppose any of its political aims in any meaningful degree.

But why do I single out feminism here in particular when you could say a similar thing about many other progressivist obsessions? Because feminism isn't just one of many groups that sometimes uses idpol; the dominance of idpol on the left, at least in its modern form, was directly caused by feminism. Intersectionalism, was essentially an attempt by feminists to monopolise control over the left by binding every minority interest that the left claimed to represent to themselfs, so they could basically do whatever they wanted while giving some payoff - usually not at their own expense - to these other groups in order to gain their support. If I had said this on this sub a few years ago, everyone would be saying "no shit sherlock, thats why we're all here, tell us something we didn't know" whereas if I point this out now half the responses will treat this as some great revelation and the other half will be screeching at me that I'm a fake socialist whose oppressing women by saying this.

Anyway, regardless whether you want to look at feminism or any of the other sacred cows of the idpollers, if "anti idpol" doesn't involve undoing the things that idpollers have done, and fighting against what they want to do, then it means nothing whatsoever. The sidebar still has the Adolph Reed quote that says that identity politics

is not an alternative to class politics; it is a class politics, the politics of the left-wing of neoliberalism

but if you point out that simply opposing the rhetoric of identity politics while pursueing essentially the same goals in more or less a similar manner fulfils the same political ends you will usually end up getting called a "culture warrior". We are told to beleive that identity politics, which is dishonest to the core, parasitic in nature, and part of a class politics hostile to our interests, somehow isn't worth actually challenging directly. Instead, we are to alternate between impotently making fun of it and pretending it doesn't exist or at least hasn't had any material impact and therefore isn't a real problem, that its only a distraction from real problems.

Like it or not, a large portion of the userbase now are fundamentally just left-liberals what have found themselfs outside of that political coalition but still want to impose basically the same liberal moralism on the working class in a slightly watered down form.

I don’t have a problem with feminism per se. I have a problem with intersectionality, 3rd/4th wave feminism, misandry, CRT, trenders etc. Although I will say feminism has achieved what it needed to in the West and has outlived its usefulness. I think it would be a better idea to move on to truth, logic, egalitarianism instead. I think women should have completely equal rights to men, bodily autonomy etc but not at the expense of men.

Having qualms with 3rd/4th wave feminism is different, for the most part. Having qualms with early to mid feminism is a red flag you really don’t understand Marxism for anything other than “upper class bad.”

That women fought for a more equal chance for education and work outside of the home was an absolutely huge goal - the conditions for women in 1950 USSR was leagues above that of the US (e.g. the Soviet Tereshkova being the first woman in space)

Social conservatives and religious conservatives have long had ideas about how the world should be, how society should be, how people should act, etc. In the last few decades they’ve been becoming more and more strident (i.e., they yell louder) about getting the world, society, and people to behave the way the conservatives want.

However, experience has shown that many of the policies that conservatives want to enact don’t work.

Banning abortion doesn’t stop abortions. It just creates a black market, and more young women will die in botched abortions because of a ban than currently do if abortion is legally available.

Preaching abstinence as the only means of birth control doesn’t stop teen pregnancies. It increases them. This leads to more abortions, by the way.

The war on drugs has not successfully stopped drug use.

I could go on.

But conservatives cling to their cherished illusions about how the world should work, instead of paying attention to how the world does work.

At this point in time, more conservatives deny reality than liberals. And so, whenever a liberal points to some study that disproves a cherished conservative point of dogma, the conservative dismisses this as a study that has a liberal bias.

Radical Righters, far righters and alt righters are wrong for smearing any Republican or Conservative with even a hint of pro military views or interventionist views as a Neocon, warhawk or warmonger.  

This is treason for those Radical Righters, far righters and alt righters to use those labels so casually on patriotic Republicans and Conservatives. I echo what Adam Kinzinger said about how most of these Radical Righters, far righters and alt righters right wing hippies (what Ayn Rand also called them) who smear Republicans and Conservatives as Neocons wouldn’t last one day in a war

I am angry that Radical Righters, far righters and alt righters smear obvious Republicans/Right Wingers and conservatives like Sarah Palin, Madison Cawthorn, Karl Rove, Murray Rothbard, Dave Rubin, former President Richard Nixon, former President Theodore Roosevelt, John Boehner, David Cameron, Frederick Hayek, Boris Johnson, Marine Le Pen, Andrew Sullivan, Chris Christie, Sargan of Akkad, Mike Pence, Ann Coulter, Mehmet Oz, Gregg Abbott, William Buckley, Marco Rubio, etc. as RINOs/RWINOs (Right Wing in Name Only), assistant Democrats/assistant leftists, Leftists ..and even ‘Socialists’ (well only deranged stubborn Right Wingers think any of the above greedy rich Capitalist pigs are Socialists but still) 

There is no pleasing the Radical Righters, far righters and alt righters and their small minded views, they will rip into and throw the RINO, Communist sympathizer etc term at anyone who isn’t up to date on their inside baseball, seemingly counterproductive, ignorant and circular Right wing MAGA platform 

Just because the liberals in the US became more and more liberal, and that pushes people further and further right that is still no excuse for the right wing getting more extreme

George W Bush through his reactionary Presidency shifted the Republicans righter, which allowed the rise of 45 and his MAGA stans , so George W Bush is responsible for all the political sins that 45 and Maga has done

The Alt Lite needs to become less edgy

Seeing how right wing the right has drifted recently (like with the whole Kanye fiasco), the average right-winger will be nuttier than actual Qanon people before 2024

Some Right Wing Populists are the real ‘RINOs’ 

I am not down with Paleoconservative as they are edgy and right wing statist

All of the non-Jewish, right-wing extremists are to some degree anti-semitic, that shouldn't be debatable. 

Though what is debatable is identifying who is a right-wing extremist and who is merely a staunch conservative or civic nationalist. 

Staunch conservatives and civic nationalists rarely are in particular antisemitic. In a lot of cases, even non moderate Conservatives aren't antisemitic at all, particularly among Conservatives on the coasts in locations like NYC, Los Angeles and Miami who are surrounded by Jewish people and thus understand first hand that there is no Jewish conspiracy to cause devastation onto all non-Jews. 

On a personal level Donald Trump might actually fall into that coastal Conservative category actually, I admit that he did not create any anti-semitic laws or make any anti-semitic executive orders. Trump even supported giving way more financial aid to Israel than Israel really needs.

However, since it's not socially acceptable to be a naughtzie sympathizer publicly in a multiracial society like the US where whites are not big of a majority, naughtzie sympathizers cloak themselves as staunch conservatives, they rarely cloak themselves as progressives or even centrists

And this covert infiltration of legit conservative communities by covert anti-semitic white ’nationalists’ is evident, and I feel that conservatives, who in numerous cases aren't antisemitic, do not ostracize these anti-semitic people the way they should, and they passively condone it, and also amplify it in a few cases when they dogwhistle since it's politically expedient and at times even financially expedient for them, it helps them to win elections and it helps them to maximize the markets for anything they are selling or assisting others in selling as the go-between. 

I’ve seen these patterns in the last 10 years. It started with the Alt Right infiltrating MAGA around 2016.
